Wow! I think that's great. I was hoping to use this group (and/or forum) to think about and discuss humanist ministry. The idea seems to be lacking in most discussions. Are you licensed?

I've performed a couple secular weddings. It was a great experience for everyone involved. It would be great to pool resources together for each other. Let me know how I can help participate.

Thas what I was wondering, lol. Its bad when the study of a group will turn its studier against it. I am so glad to have found this site. I was scared so long. Now I see I am not alone. This little town is nothing but sheep. We have a hippy shop that was brazen enough, but its young kids that smoked too much weed and tripped on Lord of the Rings one too many times. Its So nice to virtually meet you.

I found that Jared Diamond's book made some sense, but was flawed in many aspects. Richard Lynn and Tatu Vahanen utterly trashes his thesis in their book "IQ and the Wealth of Nations". Diamond's theories do not account for the fact that the Ameri...

I have argued about a similar issue before. Omnipotence is not possible in reality, and free will isn't possible if there is an omnipotent being. All we need to do is finding just one example of task that isn't possible to perform for anyone in re...

I have all my books about philosophy and religion in the cabinet above my computer desk, but they aren't organized in any particular fashion.

People are already immoral. Religion just gives us warrant to let loose.

Not at all. I was not referring to anything you or her said specifically. Some of those things were clearly wrong. A few of them were just stupid, or attempting to get a negative response. The ones that were specifically derogatory should have bee...

Doing more research on the European colonization of American continent, I was exploring the role religion played. I found reference to an event know as the Valladolid debate. This was a debate between Catholic intellectuals about the acceptable tr...
