About Me
Well, so much for the Book Seller career. ;) Even though it didn't pay much, I enjoyed working at Borders w/my fellow nerds.

Worked as a pharmacy tech in a call center for an online pet pharmacy until late August 2012. The company that took over restructured. Whatever... Their loss! I'm a month into a new job working for a non profit and it involves no customer service! :)

Hmm... I graduated Hollins U. in VA in May '09 with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies; I'm proudly from naptown, MD, aka Annapolis. I'm a coffee-addicted Sci-Fi/Fantasy bookworm who loves to rock. I consider myself lucky to have a boyfriend, and friends, who get my nonbelief of religion. What more can I say? May you touched by His noodly appendage. Ramen.

"Thanks Paula and Steph. He recovered from the surgery quickly, and figured out how to use the cone as a battering ram. >_< He's back to normal now and his eyes are much easier to see. :)"

"Same here, peace and quiet! I can sleep in on weekends, and when I do get up, I can make a pot of coffee and have a quiet morning reading books. I can go out at the spur of the moment, or go to a concert without worrying about finding a sitter.…"

Losing a family member is never easy. Though during this time I try to ignore my first reaction when people say they will pray for me. I know they mean well, and that is what matters. And if what my grandfather wanted was a Catholic mass, then that is what we will do. Our last wishes do deserve to be respected, within reason of course.

I try not to think about him being gone too much, but it's hard. It is a part of life, but not one I enjoy.

I have not been around much

I graduated from graduate school a little over a week ago, on May 17th from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. (Master of Arts in Liberal Studies). Now I am left with plight of finding a job in this economy and no idea what I'm qualified to do in the first place...

So what now?

Um, yeah...so... hmmm... now what?

Sarah --

I received by e-mail today Prof. Lynch's approval of your MALS Essay. He was very favorably impressed -- especially by your accounts the career difficulties of individual singers.

That would be the e-mail I got this morning from my Directing Professor. Here I was, dreading opening it, knowing there would be alot revisions to make, down to the wire, like last time. Well, at least I don't have to present it in any evil professor's classroom/office.… Continue

my family never goes to church, and yet it's assumed we all believe in the big Sky Daddy. Holidays were so secular I did know for years that they had some religious 'reason' for their existence. The only vaguely religious thing we did was not eat meat on Good Friday, which happens to be today.

So in honor of the one religious thing my mother insists we do...I'm making myself steak fajitas for dinner. :)

P.S. - I'm in VA, they're in MD. So it's cool. So sneaky… Continue

Need I say more? Hopefully I come out of this alive and with a Master's degree in May. Ramen! In the mean time, I have pics of Torpedo to keep me going. Get this done and go home for Spring Break to see the not-so-little-wrinkly-furball-of mischief. ;)

Hello Deepthought42 -- so sorry about Borders.  I used to go there all the time and I even had a Borders reward card.  I thank you for replying to my discussion.  We have some things in common.  I am also introverted and a loner.  I love animals.  : )  So nice to meet you!
