All I have been hearing about lately is the sinning homosexuals and the fact that the government has essentially "allowed" them to marry. No matter what you say, the fact that someone else is an apparent "sinner" is not affecting you in any way, the only way it affects you is if you allow it to. Using your religion to attempt some sort of justification of hate is neither holy nor peaceful. Hating in the name of god is not the answer. If you dislike that two people who love without restriction…See More

What do you think is the biggest misconception about life?

~ Heh. Religion. Of course. I think religion is corrupt and always has been, a lot of religion was put in place by people in an "established" place of society to basically put forth rules and obligations for the mass public that catered primarily to their way or understanding of what life is all about. This is something that has been weighing on my mind and recently when I had the pleasure of speaking to a rather well-articulated English-speaking illegal immigrant (which, forgive me for pulling out a rather judgmental little stereotype, seemed to be a rare occurrence) who brought up the concept of 'False American Freedom', did I realize I have a wide variety of opinions on this matter. Which I've reluctantly decided to discuss, despite the fact that there are more than likely a few 'blind… Continue

I wrote this in retaliation to people attacking my views on religion, and specifically in this instance, gay marriage. Supposed it "pertained" to this site or rather met the criteria. So here it is...

Writing is one of my things, clearly. If you knew me, you'd know that for sure. I often write to express myself. Sure I am opinionated and stubborn. But aren't we all when it comes to our beliefs and our views? If you're not standing up for what you believe in that is not my problem and… Continue

Invasive persuasion. Or something similar.

Mindless ramblings of an unsafe mind. (Which is questionable.)

This coming from a vast mind left empty. I'm such a drone, trying to avoid some kind of mediocre disposer. Is anyone even in tune? Does it matter? This whole concept is getting old. Being out numbered by incompetent people. I am left again feeling as though the sole purpose of my mind is to confuse me on the difficulty of simple matters. This analytical thought process is… Continue

Could we see some pics of your Muscatine Mellons. I'm sorry, the only thing i can think of when i think of Muscatine is the canalopes. Reading your writing is depressing, turn up the happy to 11 and rip off the knob. Give your kid/kids something to look up to and strive to be. I got a 3 year old that knows how to count to 10 in espanol, can write mom, dad, trey,

I came across this poem by Dorothy Parker, and it reminded me of you (and a few others :-). Enjoy!

Indian Summer

In youth, it was a way I had
To do my best to please,
And change, with every passing lad,
To suit his theories.

But now I know the things I know,
And do the things I do;
And if you do not like me so,
To hell, my love, with you!
