This is only a theory on my part but I think it is at least possible that rather is a connection between this type of behavior anod the belief that force us acceptable in case@ that donot involve anyone's rights being protected.
If someone thinks it is acceptable to force another person to be "nice or charitable" or whatever (which, I think, requires a complete lack of respect for that personal), then they probably are not in the habit of having respect for people ingenerak, people who they disagree w in particular.
