Thanks for your request for friendship...i accept you, (why not?)...and you have the honour of being the "first" atheist friend since i joined this circle recently!!

i once self studied on gaia concept from a book by one Dr /Proff Lovelock...

i still have it (the book )with me. it was about nature being alive, as a biological entity in itself...

it is a "Pantheistic" approach to life is it nt? and i liked it. god is seen in nature quite like how thinker / philosopher Baruch Spinoza came to see and advocated...

He faced inquisition for that!! very bad from the church!!

I have much respect for Baruch Spinoza, i think only second to Socrates the master himself...

he lived an ethical life, almost doing no wrong, yet without believing in, without guidance(unafraid of) "big brother" god watching him!!

I am or rather I supports Pantheism too, though i dont see themselves/ourselves? get organised, say the way Humanists have...

anyway i have come to accept it that in life, someone can be / has to be "multiple"...eclectic that is...

and that is how i came to be...

one last thing, i use public computers/internet cafes. so it is that until i visits same that i can be able to communicate. if i dont give a quick reply, please get to understand that that is the reason why...

I love black cats! They are my favorite. I don't understand the superstition myself.

Yes they are! The big cats/house cats/wolves/dogs are a part of the family Carnivora. This group has around 260 species and arose around 86 million years ago. This group eventually around 65-55 million years ago split into two groups, the dog group (caniformia) and the cat group (feliformia). 

The caniformia split into canidae, which are wolves, dogs, and foxes, and then into arctoidea then to ursoidea which are bears, and the pinnipedia which are seals, walruses. Then another split from the arctoidea then leads to racoons and such later on. 

The feliformia first splits into felidae which are big cats, and then another split leads to hyenas, and other splits lead to the mongoose and the fossa.
