About Me: I am a science-minded humanities geek with artistic tendencies, so my aptitudes and interests are fairly scattered.

I am currently "between jobs," as so many people are right now, but my field is the written word --- copywriting, copy editing, technical writing, and so on.

My main leisure pursuits include playing tabletop roleplaying games (especially Dungeons & Dragons), reading historical mysteries and science fiction as well as nonfiction history and science material, attending Renaissance faires and sci-fi conventions, and participating in discussions in a few online communities.

And last but not least, I am straight and in a relationship.

Vulgar #^%&*@! Vocabulary

I dislike profanity for the most part, but it has its place. There are some thoughts which simply cannot be expressed adequately without it. Nevertheless, I find it painful to wade through mounds of casual vulgar language on the Internet, where it is far more ubiquitous than it is even in so-called "real life" (at least in the circles in which I move). And most of the time, the use of profanity adds nothing to its context.
