The 'Movement' is waxing something like another 'movement'

I was born an atheist. I took the training, but never got on board for Christianity, or Mormonism, or Catholicism, or any other ism. That includes atheism. Atheism as a movement is so much another religion. Just my opinion, but doesn't it just kinda reach out that way?If it isn't obvious, I think religion is just a load of poop. I won't bore anyone with the rationalisms that surround one; I just don't get it, don't want to get it, but won't come to blows over it. It stinks like poop. Government…See More

I apologize in advance for my appearant arrogance

Just attended my wife's graduation from university with her second bachelor, this one in science, micro and cellular biology. Scientific method. Evolution. Evidential research. You get the picture. I am sooo proud. Before she came to town for the graduation, she was involved in an 'exchange of ideas' about evolution with what turns out to be with a young woman from, perhaps, Pigsknuckle Arkansas. After hearing that the young lady said 'we can't prove evolution because we can't run a 4 million…See More

I was born an atheist. Were you?

Summer has truly started here in the Pacific Northwest. We had a delightful week of sun, a couple days of thunderstorms, and now the June Gloom (LA isn't the only place that has this), overcast but pleasant. So I had lunch with a new friend at work Friday, and we sat outside and chatted while eating sandwiches.I met this person at a training class given by our employer, a respected insurance company - which received ZERO bailout money; we didn't need it, the firm never dealt with high risk…See More

You're welcome. I would think that your cats would enjoy the giant redwoods, at least as giant scratching posts! I'd really hate to try to get a moggy down from one of those, though. Don't think there's a ladder tall enough.
