Hi BlueJeanGirl,
It seems like your husband is the one that will only argue rationally, otherwise he would have to explain why he thought "all gays would be annihilated in the next few years", how he justifies his claim that Hitler was…

Thanks for sending all those bands to check out. I went through Amazon.com an listened to as much as I could. However, I did not like any of it. I think my tastes are much darker than yours, but thanks for sharing them. I am always up to exploring new music.
Wow, thanks. Some of these names I recognize, and some of them I don't. Give me some time to see if I can listen to samples of them online, perhaps at Amazon.com, and then I'll get back to you. I'm always up to exploring new music. Thanks again.
Valdimar: I just uploaded some songs to my page, which you may or may not like. Check them out: Magaptera - Shadowland, Lustmord - Heresy Part VI, and Attrition - This Death House.
Yes, on your site you mentioned experimental or eletronic music. Of course, I can't tell you whether or not you'll like these bands/groups/individuals or not, since liking something is very personal, and depends on your outlook, expectations, and preferences.
Some of Nurse With Wound I like, but not all. He can sometimes be unaccessible, but if you like noise, then you might like it. Lustmord did a really great album called Heresy. It is just one guy, and this particular album falls into the "isolationist" catagory, I think. It is very dark, ambient, and chthonic. He samples real geological sounds and uses synthesizers (I guess, don't know much about musical equipment). I really like that particular album. The Place Where the Black Stars Hang is also not bad, though not as good as Heresy.
Lull does stuff similar to Lustmord, but not as exciting. I have two Lull CDs, but the name of the one I like escapes me, and I can't be sure which one it is online.
Genesis P-Orridge is of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV fame. He is so open that he will do/try anything. The result is that he sometimes produces crap. My favorite TG album is Blood Pressure, though no one else I know likes it. It's noise, but hypnotic in some ways.
Oh, just undecided about what my screen name and page should be called. I can't ever make up my mind about anything like that. I'll probably want to change it later too.
So, I was watching the beginning of the Olympics when all the countries were filing in, and they just kinda skipped over Iceland. I thought that was lame.
They gave brief coverage for countries they said filed in during the commercial break, but that doesn't actually matter since it was all filmed earlier in the day. Oooh well.
Hi Valdimar...we were there for 2 years. My husband was in the Air Force at the time, so we lived at Keflavik NAS. I got to go into Reykjavik several times. I just loved that city :) We also go to travel to Thingvellir once.
