Faith healing proponent parents sentenced for death of daughter

Dale and Leilani Neumann of Wausau, Wisconsin could have saved their daughter. But they chose to rely on God rather than take their daughter to the doctor. Because they imposed their religious beliefs on their 11-year-old daughter, the young girl died. Yes, the parents have a right to believe as they like, but what about the rights of their daughter? Didn't she have a right to live? The couple was sentenced yesterday for their part in their daughter's death. They received a sentence of one month…See More

Atheists victorious - Judge orders 'Almighty God' in Kentucky unconstitutional

When American Atheists (AA) realized that the Kentucky office of Homeland Security had '"God" in its law, it sprang to action. Along with 10 other plaintiffs, AA filed suit to get the reference to God removed from the law.

According to AA, the "2006 law... blatantly mixes church and state, in defiance of the US Constitution." The law they speak of requires that the executive director of Kentucky's Homeland Security shall "[p]ublicize the findings of the General Assembly stressing the… Continue

Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

I did hit that button, but it kept coming back telling me I was not signed in. So then I just tried the Reply and got the same message and after signing in again about 3 times it worked. Maybe it's my computer (or the person operating it) Look forward to meeting you.
