"Ward said today that he was unaware that Ben was told by team doctors not to play and apologized for his comments. Hines has played with torn PCL and ACL and had them fixed after the season but that isn't the same."

"Glad to see the NFL stepping up on dealing with concussions. Finally an actual neurologist will be involved instead of a doc, paid by the team, saying the guy is fine. Think the NFL needs to expand the rosters to 60 players, raise the salary cap…"

VP of NFL officiating doesn't want to be "struck by lightning"

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the issue that came up after Chris Johnson from Oakland dropping to his knees after an interception. Apparently Mike Pereira, The VP of NFL officiating, stated that there would be an exception to the "going to the ground" rule for players who do so to "praise the lord". His reason behind the exception is that he doesn't want to be struck by lightning!
