"Glad to see the NFL stepping up on dealing with concussions. Finally an actual neurologist will be involved instead of a doc, paid by the team, saying the guy is fine. Think the NFL needs to expand the rosters to 60 players, raise the salary cap…"

VP of NFL officiating doesn't want to be "struck by lightning"

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the issue that came up after Chris Johnson from Oakland dropping to his knees after an interception. Apparently Mike Pereira, The VP of NFL officiating, stated that there would be an exception to the "going to the ground" rule for players who do so to "praise the lord". His reason behind the exception is that he doesn't want to be struck by lightning!

Well, welcome to Atheist Nexus. You have at once thousands of good friends here. As compared with people who do not recognise religion for the superstitious fraud that it is, you are among those who hold the “intellectual high ground".

Terry Meaden (archaeologist; physicist; Oxford) founder of the busy discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Fossils, Humankind, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 200 discussion topics.
The group seeks to understand and explain the world’s great mysteries including how life and humans, religion and faith, and everything else began.
Try visiting, and enjoy the discussions.
