About Me: I'm 31, I'm a wife, a mother of two children and the daughter of a Southern Baptist Deacon. I knew when I was a teenager that I didn't believe what my parents believed, so I set off to find exactly what I did have faith in. What I learned is that faith is a sham, organized religion is a terrible crime and God is akin to my childhood best friend. Imaginary. After studying many, many religious texts and documents, I came to be an atheist. I appreciate the stories and the wisdom and the colorful parables, but I just can't believe it.

In spite of my own personal beliefs, I love to write about religion. Fiction, mostly. Novels. I'm a struggling author who's trying desperately to break into the publishing game. Will it happen? Maybe. If I want it badly enough.

Sometimes, a lot of times, I feel quite alone here.

Aside from my husband, I don't know any other atheists in the real world. Living here in Ohio, southern Ohio, I'm surrounded by religion and conservative mindsets... I came out recently as atheist to friends and lost several. They were too close-minded to accept me for what I am. These are people I've known for almost 20 years!
