There is simply not enough death in this world. A concise pleading for death

There is simply not enough death in this world. Everywhere I look, I behold:

- resuscitation classes

- pension schemes

- fertility clinics

- vaccines

- charities combating famine

I ask you now: how is the overpopulation, the depletion of our resources, the mass pollution of our globe going to be dealt with if everyone simply keeps defending life?

Forsooth, anti-life is a term of which to be proud; for we,…

Well, well, well.

I have been gloating more than anything of late, ensconced as I am in this moribund zombie country of mine.

The evolution for the good began, of course, this summer when churchies were forced to face the fact that they are people. Dear, dear, raping kiddies for Jesus, eh? Yes, I know, he said something of the sort...

THE SORROWS OF THE BLIND

William McGonagall

Pity the sorrows of the poor blind,

For they can but little comfort find;

As they walk along the street,

They know not where to put their feet.

They are deprived of that earthly joy

Of seeing either man, woman, or boy;

Sad and lonely through the world they go,

Not knowing a friend from a foe:

Nor the difference betwixt day and night,

For the want of their eyesight;

The blind… Continue

Greetings, Tom! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus since Dec. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Bonjour :)
Funny how reading some of your posts reminds me of the way I feel towards men (which is pretty rare among non dykes! LOL). It also has prevented me from having lasting relationships, and I find it is very hard to surmount. When I inventory the men who've been my friends throughout the years, it's amazing how many were either gay or mysogynists. Some days it baffles me, but somedays my step father's character makes it clear as can be. It's why I've found great satisfaction with Caribbean men, they value the feminine form but do not glamorise/adulate romantic love. As an Acadian-Quebecer, Belgium has always been very high on my list of countries to visit. Somehow I've always managed to miss it. Look forward to future conversations.

Hi and welcome to Tom Pandelaere

Welcome to this great Nexus meeting place and its thousands of bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and dreadful fraud that it is---
and that gods exist only as fictions inside people's heads.

Terry Meaden (Englishman who speaks French fluently, and a little Italian)
originator of the busy discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its over 240 discussion topics.

We invite you to come and see, and to make sensible good new friends.
