Have you tried the ukbrights@googlegroups.com - I know they meet up somewhere in London. Buzz back if you cannot locate them.

Hey, I'm quite fine thank you. I guess I'm not the social networking type either because I don't really come and check here often either. Do you have any kind of messenger? I'd really fancy a chat with you in real life time.

Hey there back again. Sorry it took me a while, but I'm currently busy organising my studies at university (which is not as simple as I imagined). Funny, I had the same experience. I first became atheist as well... much much earlier before I ever had (positive) contact with socialism. Actually I was a great skeptic of the idea at first. I still find many ... well, how would you call it, it's the whole bunch! Prejudice, misunderstandings, misrepresentation, simple ignorance and even willful denial of the facts when it comes to socialism. Sometimes it's rather discouraging. :(

No problem. I like to contribute. In my opinion socialism has a reputation undeserved. I've stumbled upon it through a friend and while it didn't convince me immediately I found it fascinating. How come you discovered it for yourself?

"The medical profession seems to have improved in some areas at least. Personally I think some of that is due to the higher level of education of society as a whole. We know too much to put up with bad treatment now. I saw a documentary last year…"

"I converted to paganism (through wicca, but didn't stay there) from xianity. During that conversion period, I tried to reconcile the beliefs, which ultimately, I couldn't. There are some who find a way (probably used to cherry picking, so…"
