Well, it's been a few months. I never have been good with journals or blogs.
Still, I suppose I should make some sort of attempt at justifying my presence here, so I will write something, but the short version. In October, I got sick with a staph infection that necessitated the replacement of my mechanical aortic valve, among other things. Two of my sisters, including she of the Salt Lamp, went on a retreat to a convent in a resort town nearby. One of the two is a true believer - she once told me that she believed in revelation - and the other is Salt Lamp (Sally, for short.)

I am temporarily staying in the home of my sister and brother in law, and I don't suppose I really need to tell anyone that I am most unhappy about it.

I get my car back today, then go to lab to have blood drawn... then to general practitioner's.
Tomorrow, 8:30 a.m. appointment with cardiologist.
Next day, wound surgeon.
If all goes well, and I fell up to it, then next week I will start subbing.
