"Paine was a contradiction. Sometime after "Age of Reason", he became religious again. Go figure. By the way, welcome."

Hi, how's this for irony? My sister the Jehova Witness posted on facebook a qoute from Thomas Paine. Given her history and knowing how her mind works or sometimes doesn't, I doubt that she shows who Paine was. The qoute was something about reason (logical), and she didn't know how it refutes her beliefs. Ah well, such is life. I saw the post on my phone at work and could reply soon enough. Welcome, Thomas.  You are really fortunate having been raised in Texas to have had no religious upbringing.
