The Devian replied to Christopher Cosgrove's discussion How insecure is the deity that blasphemy has the death sentence? http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-28439518
"Well, it's not so much religion itself, as there are a lot of other topics that can work people into that same fervor (politics for example, though that is almost the same thing in many people's case). If you challenge anyone's…"

The Devian replied to Christopher Cosgrove's discussion How insecure is the deity that blasphemy has the death sentence? http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-28439518
"If your ideas are so pathetically bad, that they do not hold up to scrutiny, then they deserve to be criticized and mocked. If your beliefs were in fact, the perfect word of an all knowing, and all powerful god, then it would not matter who said…"

"It is less likely, by a large percentage, but if the parent with brown eyes, is a recessive carrier, then that trait can be passed on along with the one from the other parent, and make a child with the repressive color, or other trait. No mutation…"

"Yup, one more reason to call religion a pox on humanity. Treating other groups, women, and other races/groups, as 2nd class citizens or worse, property. Religion is evil, and this is just one more example."

About Me:
I am a life long atheist. I have been arguing against religion since my grandmother started to push it on me at the age of three, when I had to explain that magic wasn't real.

Devan, welcome to Atheist Nexus, a group of freethinking people who walk through the minefields of bigotry as we change a fundamental way of thinking. With your lifelong experience of arguing against religion, you will have a lot to say in our discussions, I am sure. This is a great place to express your ideas. There are differences of opinions, of course, and that is why this is such a rich and fertile site.
