I just joined because I want to know about every breath these people take! Can't believe it took me 3 years to catch on - third season!!! I wonder what other magic they have up their sleeves. God. The Movie? Our Friends, the Corporation. Image…
Hi,
I'm writing for the Foundation Beyond Belief and was hoping that you would distribute our flier at your meeting, or maybe post in on the wall, if it's not too much trouble.
We are trying to get this idea to go viral, and need a bit…
That is such a great question!!!! And such a great topic for discussion. (I'm really only posting so that I can follow the posts!)
I bet we all handle this problem differently, and differently at different times and in different situations.…
I think there is another aspect of this discussion and is the power that the religious community has by virture of "passing the plate." They decide who gets the money, what values are supported, and usually with very little input from…
Foundation Beyond Belief is a charitable and educational foundation created to focus, encourage and demonstrate humanistic generosity and to support nontheistic parent education.
I've been Lutheran all my life, only because there was no box for "Not really anything". Writing in "Atheist" on a job app didn't seem to win me any jobs, so I stuck to Lutheran.
BUT I'M NOT LUTHERAN, NEVER WAS!!
I'm so glad not to have to be something I'm not. (And anyway Lutheran food sucks)
Also, I'm an American living in Greece.

There is supposed to be an easy way to "invite" someone to be a "friend" on Atheist Nexus.
I've done it before, and it was easy. Now I can't figure it out. I thought there was a way to do an invite off the person's Atheist Nexus page, but I can't find a way that doesn't request an email address.
So, Terry Stone, I'm requesting you as a friend, on AtheistNexus, the old way, by typing this message. (I don't have a current email address for you.)

I just started working with Foundation Beyond Belief (Foundation Beyond Belief exists to focus, encourage and demonstrate humanistic generosity and to support humanist parent education. Humanity at Work!) and in the process have discovered a whole other world of people, who think like I do! I guess we have all had our own lonely roads to follow to get us to where we can talk honestly, openly. At least I would think that is true for a lot of us over 50 who had no other box to pick on the employement app, or the school enrollment form, and finally settled for "Lutheran" (well, hell, I have to pick something!) Nice to be and know that there are oodles of other who have the courage to "be".
Here's a friendly 'Hi' to Terry Squire Stone, living in Greece.
We are pleased to welcome you here among the sensible, rational people of this world.
This is a fantastic meeting place with its 14,400 bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and brainwashing fraud that it is---
and that God and gods are fictions like parasites in people's heads.
