"I haven't been to a church in several years (other than for weddings/funerals). I used to go once in awhile with my former girlfriend. I took communion once. I didn't really even think about it. It had no symbolic meaning for me. As George…"

Hi.
Welcome to Atheist Nexus and its thousands of good friends.

Do join groups like the busy discussion group “ORIGINS” (Origins: Universe, Life, Humans, Evolution, Religion..... ).

I have been running a long discussion (over 50 posts) there about being "Proud to be Atheist" because we should all be inwardly proud---and most of us outwardly proud too---seeing that atheists and humanists hold the intellectual high ground over the pathetic nonsense of the irrational, superstitious god believers.
