President of the upcoming Secular Student Alliance chapter for the University of Houston.
My interests include music, art, photography, philosophy, politics, economy, and laughter. Specifically, I currently enjoy the studies of existentialism, human nature, and our inevitable exploration of the universe.
Please, if you haven't already, download Werner Herzog's film, "Encounters at the End of the World".
My work experience and ambitions currently reside in the marketing field and I am employed by U.S. Smokeless Tobacco (Skoal and Copenhagen) and Sweet Leaf Tea doing brand promotions.
With my independence as the third child, and my parents constant lack of supervision, I came to form my own ideas about the world through rationality and the sensationally interesting world of science. College has been a time of learning and realization, and widely-changed perspectives on society as a whole, humans as a species, and my own existentialism.
"When the power of love overcomes the
love of power, the world will know peace."

Thank you for your post. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you but I've been really busy nailing down our months old project of getting atheist billboards up in both Dallas and Fort Worth.
I'm sure I could provide you with some good advice about a campus atheist group but not nearly as comprehensive as my friend Becky Robinson. Becky is on the Board of Directors, the Secretary, I think, of the national Secular Student Alliance. She also started Freethinkers of the University of Texas at Arlington and has contributed to it's growth. She is the person you need to communicate with.
I asked her and she said to give you her email. I don't know if it's proper to post it her but if you will send me an email direct to Terry@MetroplexAtheist.org, I'll send yours to her.
