Welcome, Susan! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Parenting Little Heathens, Military Atheists, Humanists, Women Atheists, Female Atheists, and possibly Feminist Atheists.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since the climate is changing so drastically. Louisiana is vulnerable from drought (lower Mississippi water levels), heat waves, encroaching tropical diseases and stronger storms, in addition to the higher food prices we'll all have to face.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

We invite you to make good friends by joining the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Astronomy, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Gods, Atheism, Evolution, Darwin..." with 700 discussion topics and 3500 members.

Easton Le commented on Debra Stevenson's blog post Some Wiccans and their seeking approval from Christians
"I suppose in regions of the country where Christianity is a major influence in local culture working towards a level of acceptance would be in Wicca's best interest. When I visited a gem shop in the bible belt with one of my friends I learned…"

Loren Miller replied to matthew greenberg's discussion Pope Francis says even Atheists go to Heaven
"Hmmm, an outreach to atheists from the pope?  I wonder ... is this an attempt at engagement and maybe a dialogue ... or is it an act of desperation from an organization which may finally be recognizing that it is failing at both engagement and…"
