Why are so many Americans so proud of their stupidity and ignorance?

Posted on December 26, 2009 at 3:38am 13 Comments

I posted this on myspace and I thought I would share it here. As you can tell it was directed at the bible thumpers and not my friends on Nexus. As always comments are welcomed and any advice for improving my approach to blogging are encouraged. I for one am interested in learning and improving myself, quite an un-american practice I know, lol.

According to the Bible, the original sin was seeking knowledge. I am constantly amazed at the number of Americans that are still today… Continue

ffrf billboards attract local news coverage in SC

Posted on December 21, 2009 at 9:45pm 0 Comments

Our local CBS network aired a small segment discussing the Freedom From Religion Foundation's holiday billboards. Round three where they discuss the billboards starts at 3:01 into the segment. You should really enjoy the opinion of a professional newscaster concerning freedom of speech.. I am aware that this segment is an opinion piece, however this is one opinion that does little to garner respect for the professional journalists this country used to count on for accurate, unbiased,… Continue

Are you too busy for a friend ?

This was sent to me by a friend on myspace and it is too good not to pass on.

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down..

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in… Continue

Loren another problem I face in the south is the stubborness of the Southern Baptist. I would venture to guess that at least 50% of Baptists in this area still haven't acceptted that blacks are their equal. 25% think that a return to slavery is the best course of action, and many that General Lee is about to be resurrected for one last great battle. What is this fasination with resurection anyway? I determined that the best course of action is to try and impprove our "government" Schools. Once we manage to get the average IQ in the south into double digits more and more Baptists will begin to grow up rather than being born again. An ignorant general population has been (please ignore the pun) a godsend to political and religious leaders and they have worked hard to maintain the status quo. "The great masses of the people…will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.~ Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, 1933

So many of those people are just totally canalized in their thought processes. They're content with their world as it is and in deep sneakers when it changes on them without notice. They've got their four walls up around them and they're nice and comfortable ... and most of all, SAFE.
