I haven't logged on in months. Had to fix that, lol. Looks a lot different here, now.

About Me
I'm a student at UAB (one more class to go, yay!). I'm an atheist in Alabama, which isn't easy. I've lived here my whole life. One day I'll escape...I hope. I followed a link here from Pharyngula a while back. I'm just looking for validation of the existence of someone, anyone, who can think for themselves. :)

Sadly, too many MMO players haven't tried DAoC... It's really a great game, Mythic was just too small a company to really do much advertising, so no one knows about it.

Welcome to the DNA fan group. OMFSM, an atheist in Alabama. Now THAT is rare. I am in LA (Lower Alabama) myself, and I know what you mean about it being difficult.

cool man, i am from birmingham, it's a good town but you will have to deal with jeebus freaks. it's a good spot though just stay away from Forrestdale and the Columbiana areas. they will hang your heathen ass. at least the allman brother's haven't written off oak mountain so that's a good thing. rock on, good times.

Hi Steve,

You know I said the same thing about getting out of Alabama, I was going to be discharged out of the service and return to England where I had been stationed for four years, but attempts of tie up family affairs blossomed from two weeks to two months, to two years, etc. I got a job transfer to San Francisco, one of my favorite places in the world, and leased an apartment in Santa Cruz, right on the ocean, only to have the company merge three weeks after being on the job, and the new owner wanted to move my department to Tulsa (believe me, make Alabama like the liberal oasis of the U.S. in comparison. I came back to Birmingham in old job, rather than move to Tulsa. A couple years later had a great offer, both money and position, in Washington D.C. with a German medical equipment firm. I already passed interview with the district manager, and the regional manager, then I came time to meet the corporate head of division, a German. That was one strange dude; we knew we didn’t like each other on eye contact; the only thing missing was the white cat sitting in his lap and the trap door to drop me down to the alligator pit. Needless to say, I didn't get the job.

I ask that my ashes be scattered off the Florida coast, but with my luck who ever is carrying me will trip, fall and bust the dame urn before making it across the state line, making me part and parcel of Alabama dirt for eternity. .

Good Luck.

That's OK Arnab. Much quicker than the second coming of Christ. Wouldn't want to be hanging by the balls waiting for that to happen.
