A place for atheists to discuss morality issues. What shapes your morality? What new perspectives have you found since abandoning faith (if you ever had any)? Is there any merit to religious moral authority?
Despite decades of progress, the concepts of race and ethnicity continue to influence lives. Let's discuss the roles & effects that these concepts play in our lives, what they mean, & how to live together in a diverse society and world.
We debate origins of the Universe, life, Earth, humans, religion, atheism, using common sense, evolution, cosmology, geology, archaeology, and other sciences, to repel biblical creationism and other religious beliefs.
This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)See More

Greetings, Lucy! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus since Sept. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the friend add.
By the way, while I've never actually been IN Wentzville, I've been near it! My family lives about 130 miles north of St Louis, and I drive by there then head North to Hannibal. I think you made a good choice with Unitarianism, which gives a sense of community without requiring that you beleive in a particular theism. Best wishes and I hope that you enjoy Nexus and the groups!
Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to Atheist Nexus, and to the groups that you joined. There are around 600 groups, so lots of topics and ways to have online discussions.
Hello and a friendly welcome to Stephanie of Wentzville.
We are pleased to meet you here among the sensible, rational people of this world.
This is the great Nexus meeting place with its thousands of bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and brainwashing fraud that it is---
and that gods exist only as fictions inside people's heads.
Terry Meaden
originator of the busy lively discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its over 240 discussion topics.
