I'm in Elgin. I read a lot -- books and 'net. And I do a lot of soccer refereeing -- the activity lowers the stress and anger. Except for the stresses from the coaches, fans, and players. And I blog on an occasional basis.

- I’m a 23 year old software developer living in the St. Louis Metro area. I’ve recently left military service after four years and am enjoying the freedoms that come with being a civilian. I have been faithless my entire life but after my eye widening stint in the Air Force I’ve become a liberal Secular Humanist. I’ve decided to join the freethought blogosphere now because I think this is an important time for the atheist community and I want to be a meaningful part of our movement.

Could read several things that, between the lines, but would like to hear your choice of words in that.
Initially, I am thinking that due to what you saw with your own eyes, you have come to feel more deeply for the human condition.

I'm trying to defend the right-to-the-burqa in France, I really am. But then stories like this really does leave me wishing we could outlaw an entire religion.
