- Not much of a backstory to how I became an atheist. Actually I've always been one. My parents raised me and my sister, against our grandparents on my dad's side's will, without being baptized and let us decide to believe what we thought made the most sense. I probably would have said that I really didn't feel too strongly either way a couple of years ago, but then I began to research the topic more heavily and realized that I was definitely an atheist.
