Scott Bidstrup replied to Galen Thurber's discussion Which band is less religious 20m or 17m ? in the group Amateur Radio Atheists
"I don't much care for 20, simply because it is a lot more cliquish, and there are no contests on 17m.  As for the religiosity component, it's bad everywhere.  I don't think there's much difference in that regard, but…"

I'm not sure how it happened but the discussion posted twice. Your answer is very interesting but as you can see from Dr. Meaden's answer in the other post he disagrees with you. (My position is that science does not know enough about the nature of life energy to say whether it can exist in the absence of a physical realm and that Atheism means only a lack of belief in gods.) I was wondering if you would post your answer to the latest discussion to see what other opinions it might generate.

Hello Scott, and welcome to this friendly meeting place with freethinkers like you who recognise that gods are phoney and religion is nothing but a great fraud aimed at controlling vulnerable superstitious people, including especially defenceless children; and
how tragic and inexcusable it is that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and even longer.

Maybe the village accepts your atheism because you are an outsider, and an American one at that?
