The name is Amy but you can call me "Lou". I'm a network technician for an internet service provider. Though I have a variety of interests I usually start more projects than I finish. Mostly I just like doing creative things..you know, the kind that make you use your brain. Drawing, painting, crocheting..etc. Most recently I've become interested in doing makeup. It's like painting but with a more interesting canvas. I tend to get addicted to one British TV show after the other, BBC has a hold on me apparently. I'm am openly atheist and, over the past year, I have become very passionate about Seperation of Church and State issues. I am the Assistant Director for the Etowah County Rational Alliance.
Yup, I've been a polio survivor for 57 years now. Over half a century! As a child, I asked my parents what was it they did that was soooooo terrible and wicked and God would punish me this way. They just froze up, their eyes glassed over, their hands trembled, and I was sent to my room. :-)
The sword is a fake Katana, made from ordinary forged 401 stainless steel. But it looks and feels just like the real thing. The case is made of braided leather string, very cool.
I found it by going to a (clothing optional) Pagan Camping Retreat.
Pagan large-group activities almost always have "vendors" who sell costumes, jewelry, totems... and sharp pointy things. Or you could try a Renaissance Festival near you. Or search eBay for "swords".
Excellent, another engineer! I'm a software systems engineer. And I'm originally from Russellville, AL, jut a stone's throw from you. Plzd to meet you.

No doctrines here, no dogma. Just rational debate. e.g. try visiting the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Humankind, Darwin..." for sound sociable discussion. Terry Meaden
