My blog is called Silence is Betrayal: A Feminist Blog. I write about feminism, liberal/leftist politics, social justice, and of course, atheism. I welcome criticism, advice, and opinions in general. Thanks! :)
A group for active atheist bloggers to actively support eachother through various means such as commenting, linking, voting, joining debates, and helping out with other issues on the forum. :)
A place for atheists to discuss morality issues. What shapes your morality? What new perspectives have you found since abandoning faith (if you ever had any)? Is there any merit to religious moral authority?
This group is devoted to ending anti-atheist bigotry by (1) finding it and labeling it bigotry, (2) mobilizing atheists to express opposition, and (3) educating others about the costs of anti-atheist bigotry.
A forum for meaningful dialogue between people affiliated to or supportive of left wing politics....communism/socialism/anarchism/syndicalism etc. It's essentially meant to be an anti-capitalist/anti-imperialist forum.
This is a group for psychologists and those interested in psychology, mental processes, intelligence, behavior, cognition, emotion, perception, relationships, personality or consciousness.
Has anyone else tried Plenty of Fish? It's one of the few sites that is completely free. I've talked with quite a few atheists on the site, which seems like a positive sign. Though I live in a pretty non-religious area in Oregon, so…
Hi Everyone! I'm Sara, a 22-year-old college student from Salem, Oregon. I am less than a year away from finishing my undergrad degree in Women Studies (minors: Psychology & Sociology) and hope to get a master's in Women Studies…

This sounds awesome! I just may have to visit Eugene more often. :)
I think it would interesting to look at the Bible through a historical lens. Perhaps a good Bart Ehrman book to guide you through certain sections? In this context, Revelations…
I'm a student at Oregon State studying Women Studies with minors in Psychology and Sociology. I'm a big fan of sports, particularly soccer, football, basketball, hockey, and UFC/WEC. I enjoy reading, writing/blogging, attending concerts, going to museums and lectures, and typical college stuff like barhopping and dancing. I'm politically active on campus, which can take up a lot of free time, but I enjoy the idea of working for change...something I will continue on with after graduate school.
I'm a newbie atheist, at least in the sense of using the label, but I've been a skeptic a long time. I'm from a pretty fundamentalist family (on both sides), though I rejected dogma pretty early on. Letting go of God took a bit longer, but I'm far happier with where I am now.

Greetings, Sara! I see you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus since last July. We have a new group where you might feel more at home. Please consider joining Hang With Friends , where we can share our stories and laugh, and discuss anything on our minds.
oh. Last term we had a week of Roe and protested the CPC in Eugene (we put a video on youtube and the FMF website). This term is pretty calm, just a retreat and tabling at the street fair. I can't go to the retreat though
If you ever want to hang out in Eugene let me know...
Eugene's pretty cool except my allergies have been brutal this year. There's a new Atheist club here that I'm really excited about. there's a lot of people in it and we've been getting good reactions. We have our first meeting this week. I'm also in a Students for Choice group and a labor rights group.
I still miss the FMLA though! How has that been going? Are you guys still ruffling OSU's feathers?
