The last good, American rap song that I specifically remember is Gangsta's Paradise. Beyond that, it's just a general acknowledgement that not 100% of rap is garbage. I just don't generally consider it worth the effort of digging through the garbage to find. Most of the good rap I've heard lately is Russian rap off of the GTA4 soundtrack. It's much better than the stuff over here.

I guess I've got a bit broader base, in musical tastes. About the only things I won't listen to are country, rap, and gospel. I guess there are a few songs even in those categories that I can stand, but they're rare.
I'm also an old-school metalhead, from back in the 80's and 90's, thanks to my older brother's influence. Good stuff.
