I think I've eaten too much chicken noodle soup. It no longer sounds appealing. *sigh* On the positive side I'm catching up with a ton of people on facebook.
Spreadsheets sound kinda fun right now. Apparently I have swine flu symptoms. yay. Doing ok so far, though, and still hoping it's something else. I'm trying to motivate myself to make some soup from scratch later. It always tastes better than from a can.
Work is random. I have one job lined up this week, and I hope I get over my cough before then. *sigh* Between the roommates and their practicum work and my school hopping, I seem to be getting exposed to an interesting array of germs. Ah well. That's one way to build immunity, right?
I actually just got to see some family friends who are visiting from somewhere in England this weekend. They think I should try to get in an exchange thing and teach over there for a year. Sound like a blast to me! :D
It's a long list. For starters, my roommate invited company for a few days without talking to me about it. I also had to get my car fixed and replace my phone. Unhelpful salespeople made the phone thing significantly more difficult than it needed to be. It took two towns and three stores to get that taken care of. All in all, it's a good week to be over.
Don't let the dissertation win! Show it who's boss. :)
*whew* What a stupidly long week! I did see a guy in a kilt the other day and it reminded me that I hadn't been on here in a while. :) We got snow and it all melted already, but not before some of the college kids made a dirt filled snowman.
That sounds like it would be pretty funny to watch. :) It's suddenly winterish here, snowing and all. Since my roommates aren't here, I'm going to crank up the heat until it's above 65 degrees Fahrenheit in my room.
Homecoming, historically speaking, was one football game that people would go back to their old schools for. They'd get to see old friends, cheer for the old team, etc. Now it's basically an excuse for people to drink too much, act like idiots, and be obnoxious. College students here do not make classy drunks.
