I don't really call myself an atheist, but I might as well. I'm not sure I'm into this group, really. Like I was just telling the friend who invited me, I don't want to be a lesbian, sitting around with other lesbians, congratulating themselves on having the courage to be lesbians, in a time and place when it's not popular to be a lesbian.
I sometimes look at the debate about God and wonder what the atheists are really fighting for. If it was somehow proven that there is no God, so what?
Also, I think that Richard Dawkins is kind of a jerk, and that Christopher Hitchens is pretty much a complete scumbag. They both come off as too angry and aggressive to me. Of course, they make lots of good points, but why do they have to be so confrontational? Facts are not enough to inspire people.
