OK first I don't think 'we' give the Jews a pass, second the Muslims were also conquerors, and finally the victory is ultimately in staying alive; what the Western European settlers effectively 'did' (genocide) to the Native…
Child abuse vs. preventive medicine, depends on how and when it's done. If the pain and dysfunctional result are comparable to childhood vaccines, I say, go for it, regardless of religious background. Otherwise, it is, I agree,…
Why do your submissions appear so focused toward (or perhaps I should say, against) Jews, Israel, and all related? Are you antisemitic? Do you find excuses to hate Jews more than any other single group? Or, have you produced…
Incidently, Muslims also circumcise, but they wait until the child is 10 years old, so I've been told. That's harsh. Less neuroplasticity, more area to work with, more pain... And female "circumcision", also…
Back in the Bronze age, desert people needed ritual to fill the gap of knowledge. Now? Well, it's either rational decision making or it's "tradition" or both. I imagine "both." Tradition does…
I certainly wouldn't argue if there is some medical need for a circumcision. That pathologic phimosis sounds particularly nasty. But a circumcision because your imaginary friend told you to?
Hi Rob, I saw the book you mentioned (...Calpurnia Tate) reviewed in the paper a while ago. It does look excellent. My kids are young still but it's on my list for me one day.
Hey - no my son didn't do the T-Rex. He's 3 so the motor skills aren't quite there yet; plus, he doesn't know the Noah myth. I think I found it here on A/N in the images gallery.
I saw your post about raising kids in this God soaked society and I just wanted to give a quick summary of my own experiences with this. I have 4 kids, all over 20 now, the oldest 31. I always have only taught them to think for themselves, and to not accept anything on faith. I wasn't an Atheist activist back then, but i was always a non believer. I've been touched by every single one of them coming to me on separate and random occasions, and telling me how thankful they are to have not had ridiculous beliefs forced on them. They each have been able to see for themselves the mental handicap that being raised in such a family has placed on their friends and coworkers. Their free, unencumbered and rational thought, stands out in sharp contrast, even to themselves. I hope this has helped, and welcome to AN.
