Medical Pysicist working in Northridge California for Gamma Medica-IDEAS. I love to read, scuba dive, hike, mountain bike, sail, swim, and exercise/weight train. I really enjoy cooking fine meals and smoking great BBQ. I am history buff, and a religion buff. While I am tolerant these days and listen to peoples beliefs I can not help but chuckle on occasion. I enjoy reading the history of the older religions that are still practiced, mainly Zoroastrianism ( I am half Persian so the history links there really interest me.) and various Hindu beliefs. I love learning about different cultures and how their religions have influenced and integrated into their cultures and shaped and warped various aspects. ohh yeah I am an Atheist because well really in my opinion there isn't a good reason in this day and age not to be (besides I am physicist we killed god off a long time ago. Didn't we send everyone a memo?). It has been a part of me so long it defines a good deal of my interactions and character. Feel free to hit me with some questions and comments.

Thank you all. My birthday present this year: Living. Exactly 7 days before my B-day, an ulcer that was happened to be on top of an artery in my stomach burst. 11 units of blood, 3 units of plasma, and multiple liters of fluids, antibiotics, and some good, new friends, I lived. (Sarcastically) WoooHooooo.
How exciting that you will be in Houston for the conference! The lady I know who was a medical physicist is not working currently (she is a stay-at-home mom to her 2 daughters), but I know she used to practice medical physics at a hospital in Dallas. She completed her Master's in Physics at the University of Kentucky.
If you would like to hang out with some atheists while you are in Houston, drop me a line. :-)
