"This will be interesting. It's already known that all dinosaurs should be about ten percent longer when taking into account the cartilage between the vertebrae. Now a heavier T. rex as well? Palaeontologists might have to recalculate the sizes…"

I joined this community a few weeks ago because I was searching for a place to share my thoughts. This is not possible on my work (they ridicul me for being, and outing myself as an atheist, even if most of them have similar thoughts), and with my friends I discuss mostly other stuff. Don't have many friends, more work-friends and forum-friends. And no, I do't mind. I'm perfectly happy with my life as it is. Nice and quiet. :)Anyway, simple stats:Male, 31 (32 december 15th), living in mostly…See More

The difference between Theists and Atheists? Very simple. Theists believe they are right. Atheists are right. We know. We measured and calculated it!

As promised, regarding the comments on my previous blog entry.

First of all, an excerpt of the article regarding Dutch scientists and their believe systems.

Scientists godless

Of all Dutch scientists, 44 percent consider themselves to be atheists. Scientists are irreligious much more often than the rest of our population, fourteen percent of which says they’re atheists. As far as their…

Something more about me.

I grew up in the town of Bunschoten-Spakenburg in the center of Holland, and have many fond memmories about that time. Despite the fact that I went to a Protestant-Christian primary school, complete with Bible stories every monday by the teacher, which I always looked forward to, and learning Psalms (and saying/singing them to the teacher), which I hated, but not because I didn't believe in God, just because I didn't wanted to do that.

What is an atheist?

Posted on September 13, 2011 at 12:26pm 7 Comments

Although I'm an atheist for some time now, I recently started 'outing' myself by wearing the Scarlet A, this brought up a lot of talk on my work.
