I don't know Haley Barbour. I just watched a YouTube where he apologized to the Freedom Riders, which is nice, and he called himself a "fat redneck" on another video. Eh, it's almost midnight so I'd better quit sitting here.
From the few comments I've gotten from people visiting my city, they've always said the same thing: People here a "cliquey", if that's a word. It reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live skit...
"We're white folks, we're extremely white. We walk around with our butts real tight".
But that's changing.
Lots of churches with "quietly condescending" members.
