Whoah, easy there, man.  You could pad your suggestions a little.  Despite atheist claims to rationality, we still react better to advice that isn't blended with insults.

The child and consequently the mother is your irresponsibility. If you didn't want a christian girlfriend  and child you should have thought about it before you got her pregnant. The CHILD is your main concern, you don't want…

In a way, her church will probably provide a prenup of sorts by insisting the child be raised in her faith.  Does she want to get married?  Divorce can be a terribly wrenching experience, so it seems perfectly reasonable to provide…

I dont really care if the child is raised christian by her. I think the best way to hate the church is experiencing it. I just dont want to get married.

The church still uses the metaphor only in reference to religion, though.  The work they're referring to is the religious obligation.   And either way, my mockery still stands.  Oxen are yoked for the purpose of doing work not to…

If you don't love her, don't marry her. You can help raise the child, but if you marry her without loving her you're just going to end up divorced anyways.

It's a theistic term.  Personally, I find the metaphor absolutely hilarious, particularly considering that it's the theists who use it.  It's comparing the believer to an ox/horse and the religion as the cart that…

Should I marry a christian without a prenupt

My girlfriend got pregnant and wants me to marry her so she can stay in Canada and have the child. I however am very aware of the unevenly yoked rule that the church preaches. I fear the marriage wont work for this reason and I have seen many occasions where the guy refuses to get "saved" and the pastor forces the woman to leave. I dont love her but maybe I could. I have to think of my child too. What do you guys think?

I've never heard or read anything by Ali in which she was gung-ho about war. She grew up in a violent religion and rejected it. She is also not conservative in any way except for rejecting cultural relativism, which is a racist idea anyway…

Apparently Zac Efron is agnostic. I don't remember what he does exactly but he's some kind of teen heartthrob.

About Me
I was born and raised on the island of Jamaica. After observing my environment I realized that there was no god in that religious but immoral place. Then at around age 11 I said the unthinkable(there is no god). My views where not welcomed and I eventually conformed. But for years after the devil wouldnt leave me alone. At around age twenty i said it again. I realized that the greatest marketing scheme ever was fear. But I am not a coward.

Qualia Do Not Provide Reasonable Grounds to Refute the Mind Body Identity Theory

Posted on August 16, 2009 at 12:00am 0 Comments

In response to the do you have a soul discussion I think I would just share this essay I wrote some time ago. Historically the mind body problem has challenged mankind’s greatest thinkers. Everyone think and makes reference to their minds for their thoughts. So many questions have been raised about the mind such as what is it and what is its nature. We know for a fact that our body is physical based on its chemical composition of matter. So one may ask what the relationship between the mind and… Continue

I would like to respond to your comment about "an agnostic is someone without balls.": I consider myself to be an Atheist/agnostic if there is such a ting. It seems as if I continue to straddle or sit pon de fence eh, However, I believe dat there is an inherent form of energy (universal in nature) that propels us forward as humans, through this turbulent life path as we know it. When we die, this universal energy force dissapates back to it's original source in the ethereal demension. Not that we will be reborn in our original form. This is what I think, is the equivalent to the oneness in all of us humans that we refer to as God. 'Nuff respect!

I hail from Kingston man, da beautiful Trenchtown. lol

We don't really do family reunions cos ma parents are dead but ma big bruv David (Pontius Pilate on this) is also an atheist. We share a crib here in London which is real cool. Ma sister still lives in Jamaica and she's as fundie as they get right so when we are back in Jamaica we don't talk no religion at da dinner table innit. You know how it is man.

What brought you to Maple Leaf country man? Are you an atheist asylum seeker like me? lol

Peace,
B.
