"I've never heard of it. I'm 27 now and feel that maybe i'm getting too old for clubs. Am I too old? That said, I've heard Deep Ellum is safe enough if you go with a group and have friends walk you to your car .
If you want to go…"
I'm in the DFW area visiting my son and his wife. We're planning to check out "The Church" in Dallas. (Me in a church, now that's funny!) I believe that on non-goth nights the club is called "Lizard Lounge". Have any of you Texas Heathens been there? I haven't been to Deep Ellum in 16 or 17 years, is it a safe area these days?
Greetings, Rayven! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
Rayven, I am a Soldier station in El Paso, TX. If you think you are in the bible belt... then I have some stories for you. The U.S. Army is basically a religious organization with a lot of guns and copters. I have been an atheist all my life and I have been in the U.S. Army almost all my adult life. Times have been hard but I see light at the end of the tunnel... I retire in about 2 years. I wish you luck and strength. Add me as a friend and I will add you as mine.
I just wanted to say thank you for the mutual friend inclusion. I am a horrible n00b with these social networking sites, and I am also quite alone in my atheism (just my immediate family really). Any friends are appreciated. Feel free to visit my blog and web page as well as just say hello to me.
hi Rayven, thanks for adding me. I dig your myspace profile esp. your general interests (superesp. birdwatching, I go 'birdstalking' too). I also like your thoughts on polyamours (sorry, don't know the right term/noun). Keep it up!
