A little perspective (poem)

Take me up to the vacant moonTo look back down upon mankindTo gaze in awe of all we’ve doneAnd hold myself smug in those things Take me further to Saturn’s ringsTo marvel at all wondrous sightsTo begin to see how little we areAnd how little we have achievedTake me out of the Milky WayTo look back upon it and all it’s peersTo realise how many of a kind there areAnd see our home is just one of these Take me away ‘til the galaxies blurTo give me perspective on lifeTo answer the question so many…See More

Dissolve

Our light it dims under sacred rule

Our faith in Him will see us fall

Bitten lip to heinous deeds

Held too long and now it bleeds

Fair refrain has long since past

Suffered pain, it will outlast

Unless outrage is seen as true

And reason is no more subdued

Speak in time and while we’re young

Speak in wisdom, not in tongues

One of the main arguments for religion is morality. Without God to watch over us, we'd all be murdering left right and centre....apparently.
