That's outstanding. I wish that I had some water like that were I live. I live in Eastern NC. We have some decent bass fishing, but I have to go West to the Appalachians to find some good trout fishing. The major river that flows through my area is the Neuse River. The Neuse is on the Nation's top 10 most endangered rivers list. It made the list due to the intense agriculture in NC. Hog farming is the biggest danger to the river. Every time the river comes out of it's banks, it gets polluted by hog lagoons.

One more thing, I would never spin cast for trout. That would be a sin!

I fly fish for bass and trout. I also have some bait casting tackle and spin casting tackle that I use for bass. It depends on the conditions and how I am fishing on a particular day. I fish mostly smaller bodies of water, ponds and small rivers, because that's what is closest to home.
