- About Me
- I'm an atheist and skeptic, living in the UK. Both of my professions offer me an interesting take on religion (and other woo) in society. Until recently, I was the volunteer Co-ordinator for the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science (registered charity 1119952). Now I am an investigator for the British Anomalistic Research Society. I am also the founder of St Andrews Skeptics Society.
I run a reptile rescue centre at my home and care for many species from Crested Geckos to Ackie Monitors.
I play guitar, make films in my spare time, and have an unhealthy obsession with pineapples. I'm an amateur astronomer, until recently using a 12" dobsonion. Looking for a new telescope at the moment.
I enjoy sharing my atheism openly with others, and challenging any irrational woo I may come across in life. I'm especially active in stopping local fraudsters from scamming the general public with supernatural claptrap. Being a magician/mentalist myself, I have the tools to expose the psychics and mediums, but I'm strongly opposed to other realms of woo such as alternative medicine.
I do public speaking at events such as Skeptics In The Pub on various topics in magic, science, and skepticism.
I'm always up for a chat with likeminded people.
