Theism and the sunk cost fallacy

There are a number of reasons why people remain wedded to their religions. If you're wanting to discuss the virtue of rejecting theism, then, like any proselytizer, for that is what you are when you try to convert people, you need to understand both your motives and those of the person fixed remaining unconverted. There are a number of reasons why somebody would not wish to change religion:1. They actually believe it2. They fear the penalty of apostasy (reasonable since, in Islam, it is death)3.…See More

Hi.
Well yes as regards your comment.
But I only threw in the word God because christians like that, and they don't recognise themselves as believers of 'gods'. The christians fill their brains with God delusions more than with delusions of gods. Simply that, but as you imply it is not important anyhow. The whole god thing amounts to being almost an elaborate hoax in which the believers believe largely because so many of their ancestral predecessors and current friends believe. Cheers, Terry.

Welcome to this great site and its thousands of bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and giant fraud that it is,
and that God and gods are merely fictions wasting valuable space inside the brains of the credulous.
