I'm an almost 30 year old mother of four. I work part-time, and I'm a student. I was raised in a Christian household, my father was even a preacher. It took me until my early twenties before I realized that a lot of things I had been taught didn't make sense. It was a scary transition, and it took me a couple of years to fully come to terms with the fact that I didn't believe in god.
Now, I deal with raising my children in the middle of the Bible Belt, while being an atheist. It is a fine line sometimes.
I look forward to meeting like minded people. :)

I live in the same state. It's a terrible place to find logical people. My fiance and I fill alone a lot of the time but I'd rather not mingle with the single minded theists and hopefully watch more and more people convert as Science marches on and Bibles secretly trying to be re-written to fit new age beliefs.
Hi Paula, My girlfriend and I were just talking about meeting people like you. It's not easy trying to raise children in an area where religion is so abundant. We hope to start some sort of org. around here...We live in West Tennessee. I do hope to hear from you in the near future.
Another Tennessee resident atheist here. I can't imagine raising four kids in this state (or any state, for that matter) when your beliefs aren't in the mainstream.
Drop a line sometime.
