In retrospect, I can see why this may be too broad if a generalization, but accurate, IMO. Although my knowledge of the bible has increased exponentially since becoming an atheist 5 years ago, it pales severely compared to his, my brother-in-law.…

THis quote seems perfect. Short, direct, and any atheist would be proud to quote Sagan. A beautiful tribute to him as well.

The ongoing fight between religion and evolution has been strong since Darwin first introduced his idea to the world. The thought of a god not being the creator of all life was, and is still, blasphemy in the eyes of society and especially in the…

Thanks! I hadn't skated in about 18 years and just went for it. Being a mom of 5 kids I was really looking for something that raised a few eyebrows, empowered women, broke the soccer mom mold and was just a lot of fun, not to mention the work…

It is unbelievably cool that you do roller derby. If my back and knees weren't wrecked, I'd do it too.

Hi Pamela! Thanks for be-friending!
Roller-derby is F**king cool!
there is a league here too but I don't have the knees for it.
Still makes me think I should get out and support them more.
The list just above your photo's is fantastic!
I'm going to grab it and turn it in to a leaflet / sticker etc.
Cheers!

Great pictures of the rally! I wish that I had gone inside the Capitol building itself; I really like your shots of the dome. But I was too impatient for lunch and a cold drink, so I made a beeline for the Duck & Dog as soon as the speeches were finished. :)

Hi Pamela and welcome to this friendly meeting place
where we recognise that religion is a superstition and fraud with imaginary gods used to control people, and that it is tragic and inexcusable that women have been oppressed these last 2000 years.
