I find it easier to ignore them. See they won't understand that it's human effort that helped them. No matter how much you point they will cling to their idea. Infact they will cling harder the more you point! Sorry to hear…
Maybe we should encourage people to thank medical workers for their training and dedication. Then if they say "Jesus/Odin/etc. helped me do it" you can tell them that you give them more credit than they give themselves.

OK, it happened (again; ad nauseum). I was taking care of a kid with an injured ankle. Xrays were negative. I told Mom and she said, wait for it, "Thank You Jesus". I said "jesus had nothing to do with it". Oh yes he did"was…
well now, It seems praying at the beach saved a 12 year old kid after he drowned. Glad the kid is OK but praying had nothing to do with it. Why didn’t they jump into the sea and save the kid. If god was around he would have helped. Ignorance…

We have a lot of people on here so why don't we start giving locations and roles? If you're somewhere that you feel insecure about identifying yourself too clearly, give only as much as you like. I'm Michael Caton, second…

Hi Pam! I'm Kris - I host the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus. I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.
I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.
Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.
Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated. Delete Comment
I took a look at your blog and artwork. I noticed the origami style box at the end of the latter. If you like making origami boxes you may like to try some of my patterns. See http://berrylyn.blogspot.com

I know! I was out looking for a nice social place that was relatively save from theistic abuse. I'm really glad it's new, too. The growth is inspiring, as it shows just how many of us there are thirsting for somewhere to be ourselves.
Cheers and thanks for the add : )
