Absence from the e-world!

I have been neglecting the e-world for a while. Things have been pretty crazy with me, and I'm plain lazy. I guess I needed a break. Plus I got a new xbox 360 so I've been playing video games like crazy when I should be studying for my PPL test.Anyway, I'm on the Council of Ex Muslims forum and there's this really nationalist sounding dude on it. His view is that all Muslims (moderate or not) should be deported to Muslim countries. Wow. That's a pretty stupid thing to say on an Ex Muslim forum…See More

Dictators & Atheism

If I had a penny for every time a theist told me that on many occasions in history, atheism has been the cause of genocide...particularly Pol Pot, Hitler and Stalin.I wrote a blog post about Hitler and Stalin in particular over at my blog: http://www.odd-innuendo.net. More discussions with a Muslim...

I haven't had time to finish my response to him, but this is what he has been saying to me. Sorry about the weird quoting ways - it's difficult and tedious to quote from wordpress. If you want more clarifications on the discussion, visit http://exmuslimdiaries.wordpress.com where the discussion is being held on the posts 'Post Hijab' and 'Sacred Stupidity' Not that the = indicates things I have said - just the way he has quoted me.= Since you very kindly listed the problems in Western society,…See More

Greetings, Odd Innuendo! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Which sect is that? Here in Springfield, we have Sunnis & Sh'ias; I notice that most Westeners seem to feel the closest affinity for Sufis

This is just a quick note to say hello; I figure that if we're going to be listed as " virtual friends," we ought to at least occasionally write on one another's comment wall. As you no doubt are aware, several hundred years ago (which is really just a blink of an historical eye) a Catholic or Protestant "apostate" -- i.e., one who became a freethinker -- was in peril, much as is one who was raised Muslim but becomes a freethinker today.

Hi OI! Welcome! Great to have an Aussie (ex) Muslim amongst us. You're rather under-represented at the moment, although we have many other ex-Muslims from elsewhere.

There's 10 members in the Atheists who were Muslims group, and you might also like to hook up with Kafir Girl who writes a very popular, humorous blog about the Quran from an apostate's perspective.
