As Daniel Dennett pointed out a while ago, the algorithm of evolution is substrate neutral. Dawkins recognized that, I think, when he coined the word "meme" in the last chapter of The Selfish Gene in 1976. Memes can and do infect, it has been argu...

The relationship between religions and viruses (natural and computers)

It was about 10 years ago I heard about computer viruses and their similarities to human viruses or natural viruses . That comparison was very interesting for me and even this comparison ignited an idea in my mind: if we call natural viruses live or semi live beings then we can call computer viruses alive or semi alive too.
Here Ramadan has begun a few days ago and my parents like many other Muslims fast in this month and they practice rituals more than other months. Once I was looking at my mot… Continue

Should I vote for a mullah?

These days Iran experiences a new political atmosphere which has affected most people. it is because of coming Tenth presidential election I think this new atmosphere has brought us some positive points:
for the first time we watched TV disputation between candidates and these disputation cleared many things for all people (perhaps because it was the first time) . It revealed how greedy they are for power . In these disputations Ahmadinejad proved that he doesn't know any thing about moralities… Continue

You're very welcome. I uploaded those videos onto my profile page at Facebook. I don't think alot of people understand the history behind Iran's turmoil, as well as how Operation Ajax led to a series of events culminating in the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran.

Ignore what Cliff said in your post. I've got into an argument with him before about things that are quite similar. He is incredibly arrogant and selfish about what he said was for only centering around the U.S. It's thanks to people that think like him that many countries suffer around the world.

I've been keeping up with these protests. Have you ever heard or seen any of the protests against the IRI altogether or against Khamenei? Their anger is directed to Ahmadinejad and not Khamenei or Iran's Islamic government. I usually hear protesters saying "Mousavi" and seen thousands of protestors cheering when an Iranian flag was raised with Mousavi's photo on it.

Mousavi is upset with the police because of his supporters being killed, but what about the people who were killed before his very own supporters were killed? My girl friend believes that there will be no revolution any time soon because too many people are supporting Mousavi.

I think I feel so strongly because I'm sick to death of these idiots having any input whatsoever into the way the rest of us run our lives. They seem incapable of not telling other people how they should live their lives.
