Valentine's Day, The Olympics and The Monarchy

It would be an innocent-enough question to ask me how I'm celebratingValentine's Day (or Christmas or Easter, for that matter). Every year, you can't help getting used to the build-up immediately after New Yearto this all-important day to express affection for your loved one (ortwo, or seventy, depending on your Jihad aspirations). The stores haveswitched their displays from holly and glowing snowmen to red,heart-shaped helium-filled balloons and bouquets of roses. In theNorthern hemisphere…See More

Neeven,
Welcome to Atheist Nexis!
I looked at your profile. I imagine that you have a lot of stories to tell!
One way to get to know people is to join discussion groups, and get involved in some of the forum topics.
There are hundreds of discussion groups. They are what we make of them. Given your background, you might be interested in Conversations in Race, Ethnicity and Culture - or at least have a valuable perspective that comes from experience.

I live in that "other Vancouver", smaller and more provincial, but with a few charms of it's own.

Anyway, welcome!

Daniel
