We need to put together a dictionary of phrases that express our meanings without invoking god. My reason for doing this is that i don't want people to think I'm religious, so I don't want to say…Continue

Oh, Natalie, I am so sorry to hear about Sammy.  I've been there, done that so many times, and the pain each time is always the same.

Very wise of you to adopt again right away; one can never have too many love-bugs. (Well, except for the people who over-do, and they have an illness.)

I had a black cat more than 30 years ago who played so vigorously that he would have to pause and pant for a while.  I named him "T. Devil," because he reminded me of a film clip I'd seen of a Tasmanian Devil...and because I wanted to gross out my fundie mother and JW sister.  Heh!  My sister insisted on calling him "Angelito." Silly.

He was a love-bug, too.  Slept in my arms almost every night of his 16-year life.  He also used to sit beside my father in the recliner to watch the news every night (We were living with my parents at the time because they were both in poor health and needed help around the house). After Dad died, The Devil still got into his chair every night and waited for someone to turn on the TV.

Be well, and happy with "Mak the Knife."  ("Hand-Slasher"?) And post some pictures, please.
