Yea so I've been an atheist for like 3 or 4 years now. I don't really have a big story for becoming an atheist. Religion for me always felt wrong to me, it was a bad feeling I just couldn't shake. I…Continue

Atheists Against Domestic Violence

The stories of domestic violence are often carbon copies of each other; however the recipients of this illness do not feel that there is help or a way out. I wanted to start this group to expand the fight against domestic violence.See More

Your body is not the temple of god, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of it. Whether you're looking for tips or just encouragement, come on in. Nothing said by anyone in here should be taken as medical advice. Always consult a doctor.

Is there such a thing as race?

I remember taking an anthropology class, and a political science class that was taught by an anthropologist and it was stated that there are some people who argue that there is no such thing as race even though the majority of people say that there is race? What's everybody's take on it? I personally haven't enough information yet to really form an opinion but I would gladly like to hear everybody's take on it. :DSee More

Conversations on Race, Ethnicity, & Culture

Despite decades of progress, the concepts of race and ethnicity continue to influence lives. Let's discuss the roles & effects that these concepts play in our lives, what they mean, & how to live together in a diverse society and world.

Greetings, Monica! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus since April. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Hi and welcome to this fine international site and its many thousands of bright people like you who recognise religion for the giant fraud that it is. Gods exist only inside human heads where too much of the brain space is taken up by illogical rubbish.

Terry Meaden originator of the busy discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 235 discussion topics.
We invite you to come and see, and to make good new friends.
