"Matthew 5:18 pretty much skewers any idea that the OT doesn't apply. Not one jot or tittle is to be ignored. But since it's all playland of the mind, why should the sourcebook apply?"

Mike Lee replied to Grace Fitzpatrick's discussion How do you explain evolution to a theist?
"It'd likely be far easier to deconvert her entirely, than to try and make her a deist. Trying to believe that what they'd thought was an all loving deity attendant to their every move is just an apathetic life giver would be like telling…"

We debate origins of the Universe, life, Earth, humans, religion, atheism, using common sense, evolution, cosmology, geology, archaeology, and other sciences, to repel biblical creationism and other religious beliefs.

"Well, children are basically property to a lot of parents. It takes the rebellious stage in adolescence to disabuse them of this idea. So, to them, you can no more lie to your kid than you could a piece of furniture."
